What Classes to Take?
At Mission Beach Pilates, we have a very comprehensive approach to pilates training. Rather than a one-size-fits-all mindset, we take the time to learn about you – your long and short-term goals as well as your current fitness. We offer signature pilates classes, combo classes and specialty classes for the beginner to the classicist.
Reformer Classic: We encourage students who have no pilates experience to intermediate experience students to attend. This Class incorporates the classical style of mat and reformer exercises closest to Joseph Pilate’s original work. Expect more explanation on the concepts of the pilates exercises.
Reformer Flex: This class offers a series dynamic exercises and stretches that consists of continuous and sustained movement throughout the body. Keeping your joints and connective tissues in good condition. This is a slower paced workout, appropriate for those who are new to exercise or a seasoned athlete.
Reformer Active: This workout is for the ones who like a full body workout leaving you refreshed but not exhausted. Versatile and effective for all ages. Expect a faster paced workout and explanation on the concepts of the pilates exercises. Great for beginners and intermediate level clients!
Reformer B.T.L.- Bums, Legs, and Tums! This multitasking workout is geared to target those fussy areas of the butt, legs, and tummy. Great for all levels. Also incorporating small equipment.
COREtasic: If you’re sick of those endless rounds of crunches at the gym. This class offers the use of functional variations of the Plank, and single-leg or single-arm exercises. These force you to use your hips, glutes, abs and back muscles to stabilize and generate power.
Reformer Bounce & Burn: Kick your metabolism into high gear with this intensive, energy-boosting reformer workout. This is set to music, combined with innovative and powerful sequences that gradually increase in rhythm, pace and intensity. Help rev up your body’s fat burning capacity. Weights, fitness circle and bands are often included.
Reformer Stretch: Stretching on the Reformer will be an invaluable resource that allows you to see the pilates exercises in an entirely new light. Expect the class to offer a mix of modern variations and some of the classics. Great for all fitness levels.
